Our Mission
In 1999, Manheim established the Michael P. Fisher Endowment Fund with a $500,000 gift in support of the Michael P. Fisher CICU at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Sibley Heart Center. Since then, the company has sponsored a variety of annual fundraising initiatives through its Heart to Hearts program. The proceeds are used to fund research, educational resources and the latest technology and equipment for the unit, in addition to providing a warm and loving environment for the unit's young patients.
Every year, the money raised through various Heart to Hearts activities is allocated to the numerous needs of the Michael P. Fisher CICU. The Fisher family, along with a Manheim committee, reviews feedback from nurses and physicians to decide where the money can have the greatest impact. Over the years, the purchases have been balanced between medical improvements and necessities, as well as fun and comforting distractions for young patients. Heart to Hearts provided the following support to the Michael P. Fisher CICU since its inception.
